Construction. The Smittybilt security floor console is manufactured to keep your valuables safe with its 16 gauge steel construction. The compartment lid locks keys are included to exclude thieves. The black powder coated paint makes this console a handsome addition to the Jeep Wrangler’s cabin while resisting scratching rust and corrosion. There is a thick padded armrest wrapped in comfortable denim atop the console. Specs. This console is designed for 1987-1995 Jeep Wrangler YJ models and features Gray Denim covering on the armrest pad. The console contains a notch for sunglasses plus 2 cup holders adjustable to all sizes of cups and beverage containers. The lockable compartment includes plenty of room and can be opened easily with the keys that come with this item. It measures 12 inches tall by 9 inches wide by 22 inches long. Application. The Smittybilt security floor console is attached down with 3 large 3/8 inch bolts. Installation begins by marking the floor where these bolts are to be fastened. Carpet is cut away with a utility knife and holes are drilled in the floorboards. The console is then bolted into place. Care should be taken not to tighten the nuts to the point of crushing the sheet metal of the floor. This console fits all 1987-1995 Jeep Wranglers.
