REPLACEMENT PATIO HEATER HEAT SHIELD (ROUND) – Over time, heat shields on top of pyramid patio heaters become worn down, bent, damaged, or lost. Without a heat shield or reflector, your patio heater won’t be able to distribute radiant heat efficiently. This universal replacement heat shield/reflector cap will also provide durable protection that you can depend on all year round! 3 OUTER PANELS AND 1 CENTER PANEL HEAT SHIELD – This round patio heater heat shield pack comes with all the parts and hardware you will need to assemble the reflector dome. When assembled, the outer panel and center panel will form a 33-inch reflector dome. Assembly hardware includes 9 sets of small screws, flat washers, and cap nuts. 3 PRE-DRILLED HOLES FOR EASY INSTALLATION – This heat shield comes with 3 pre-drilled holes that align with the mounting holes universally fit on most tall mushroom patio heaters. Unsure about the fit? The mounting holes have a uniform distance from each other: 6 7/8 inches from hole to hole. The installation process only involves the removal of the blue protective film, assembly of the heat shield dome, and the mounting of the heat shield to the heater’s main burner screen. Round Heat Shield Compatibility and Installation This model and style of patio heater heat shield will best fit on tall mushroom heaters that use 33-inch diameter heat shields with 3 mounting holes that are of equal distance from each other (6 7/8 inches). Compatible patio heater brands/models include Gardensun HSS-A-SS, HSS-A-GH, GS4400BK, GS4400GD, and GS4400SS; and Hiland HLDS01 series. Even with the universal compatibility with a specific type of patio heater, this round heat shield/reflector cap’s pre-drilled holes may not fit all patio heater brands/models of similar-sized heat shields. If this is the case for your patio heater, you can drill new holes to mount the heat shield properly. Center the heat shield’s center panel on top of the patio heater’s main burner screen. Note the bolt pattern. Take measurements, especially the relative position of the bolts from the center of the heat shield and the bolts’ distance from each other. Mark the exact position on your heat shield and drill new holes with a sheet metal bit. Don’t forget to remove the blue protective film on the heat shield before assembling the heat shield dome. To assemble the heat shield dome, slide two other panels together and insert a screw where they overlap. Slide a flat washer on the screw thread and then screw on the cap nut loosely. Do not tighten the cap nut in case you need to make adjustments later on. Slide in the last outer panel and screw it on loosely. Slide in the center panel over the center of the assembled side panels. Insert all remaining screws on their designated holes. Only tighten all cap nuts after the dome is fully assembled. You either need to use the hardware from your old heat shield or purchase an identical set from the hardware.
