This hardwired smoke detector wires directly into your homes electrical system. The detector includes battery backup to ensure the alarm works even during power outages, and a mute button to silence nuisance alarms from cooking smoke or shower steam. The alarm has an easy access drawer for battery changes – no need to take down alarm from ceiling to change battery. Interconnects with up to 12 other First Alert or BRK hardwired alarms.
