No electrical modifications or adapters are required. Be sure this is the correct part for your dryer. While parts may look similar, their functioning can be different. The model number can be found in 1 of several places on your dryer. It may be on the upper left side of the back or in the inside of the door, either on the frame or the door itself. On some gas models it is located behind the lower front access panel.
