An air intake kit is highly recommended in all installations. The air intake feeds uninterrupted combustion air into your appliance from outside your home, helping to maintain proper air fuel balance and ensure even burning. An outside air intake is an apparatus that connects the air intake of your pellet stove with the outside air. This is usually accomplished by drilling a hole into the wall. The air intake kit allows your stove to draw cold air from outside into the combustion chamber and thereby turns your stove into a closed heating system, sealing it from the rest of your house.
