BRK First Alert – SCO2B Battery Powered Smoke & Carbon Monoxide Alarm, 1

BRK Battery powered smoke/CO combo alarm has a solid state piezo horn rated at 85 DB at 10 ft. This mounts directly on wall or ceiling and helps in easy alignment of alarm. The Intelligent Sensing Technology reduces the number of nuisance alarm. It comes with mounting anchors and screws. It features an ionization smoke sensing chamber and an electrochemical CO sensor. A visual power on indicator indicates the status of unit receiving power. For indication of smoke or CO alarm, separate LEDs are used. The CO sensor does not detect the CO levels that are below 30 PPM and will not alarm when exposed to constant levels of 30 PPM for 30 days. The alarm is only set for 400 PPM CO between 4 and 15 mins, 150 PPM CO between 10 and 50 mins and 70 PPM CO between 60 and 240 mins. The tamper resistant locking pins lock the battery drawer and/or alarm to mounting bracket safely. The dual ionization alarm also detects the danger and hence eliminates the need for extra two electrical boxes. The latching alarm indicator remembers which unit initiated an alarm. “End of life” signal capable of temporarily being silenced for up to two days, after two days the signal will resume and after two or three weeks, the signal cannot be silenced. It is suitable for residential and institutional applications including sleeping rooms of hospitals, hotels, motels, dormitories and other multi-family dwellings. The smoke/CO combo alarm meets UL 217 and UL 2034 standards.
