The Black Diamond Evac Shovel is a UIAA certified top model for professional use. It features a unique handle with two configurations as a standard shovel or pick to perform snow analysis or shovel large amounts of snow. The large shovel blade quickly moves a large amount of snow, while the flat profile provides clean cuts for analysis. The redesigned extendable shaft eliminates wedging during use, while the large D-handle increases comfort during intensive use and speeds digging in an emergency. The Evac 9 has a larger bucket blade and longer shaft for professional use.
