To prevent or treat scale or metal stains, use a half a quart of Scale, Metal, and Stain Control per 10,000 gallons of water monthly. Though these problems are not as common as algae or cloudy water, this pool stain remover comes in handy to almost every pool owner. Over time your water will collect various minerals and metals from your hose water and runoff. To prevent these issues from occuring, apply a preventative dose every week. The best time is during your regular water testing and product application time.
