This frame houses the shaker grates and should be replaced whenever you replace your grates.The shaker grate frame is an important part of your furnace. The frame holds the shaker grate in the correct position allowing it to pivot from side to side. You should regularly inspect the frame and grate when cleaning the unit. If you notice that the frame is warped or starting to burn out it should be replaced.
